📝 Understanding Common Texas Notary Acts & Fees (In-Person Services)

All notarizations are performed in accordance with Texas state law and are referred to as Notarial Acts.

A Notarial Act occurs when I apply my official stamp or seal to a notarial certificate—the specific wording that identifies the type of notarization performed, such as:

  • ✅ Acknowledgment
  • ✅ Jurat (Oath or Affirmation)

📌 Note: One document may include multiple certificates, each requiring a separate notarial act and fee.

💵 In-Person Notary Fee Schedule:

  • $10 per notarial act (each time a stamp is applied)
  • $1 for each additional signature on the same certificate

📘 Example:

Notarizing a promissory note with:

  • 4 notarial certificates → $10 x 4 = $40
  • 1 extra signer (e.g., a spouse) → $1 x 4 = $4

Total: $44

💻 Remote Online Notarization (RON) Fees

Texas law allows notarizations to be performed entirely online via secure audio-video technology.

In addition to the standard notary fees, a Remote Online Notarization (RON) includes a state-approved technology fee.

🌐 RON Fee Schedule:

  • $25 per online notarization (technology fee)
  • $10 for the first signature on a notarial act
  • $1 for each additional signature on the same certificate

💡 Example:

A document signed online with:

  • 1 notarial act → $10
  • 1 additional signer → $1
  • Remote notarization → $25

Total: $36

✈️ Mileage & Travel Policy

🚫 Travel & Administrative fees are not included in Texas standard notary fees.
💼 They are charged separately, as allowed by law.

🧮 How We Calculate Mileage Fees

Our mobile notary service includes travel to your location, appointment scheduling, and the first notarization.

  • 0–10 miles: $50
  • 11–20 miles: $65
  • 21–30 miles: $80
  • 31+ miles: Custom quote

✔ One notarization included
✔ Additional notarizations: $10 per act

All mileage is calculated round-trip from our base location.

⏰ Additional Service Fees

  • After-Hours Appointments (9:00 PM – 7:00 AM): + $25
  • Weekend Appointments (Saturday & Sunday): + $30
  • Holiday Appointments: + $50

🚗 Long-Distance Travel Policy

For locations more than 30 miles from our base, a non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your appointment.
